We were back in VA for Thanksgiving. Casey was great on the plane and it was really nice having Stan on the plane with us.
Thursday morning, Marcy, Kelly and I ran a 10K Turkey Trot. After our race, Casey, Jack and Lily ran their own 50 meter race. Casey didn't really know what was going on and was more worried about the girl balling behind her and was most excited that a lollipop awaited her at the finish line, but it was fun.
Thanksgiving was at Grandma Gail and Grandpa Tom's house. Plenty of yummy food we all stuffed ourselves. Friday morning we put up the Xmas tree, so Casey had more time to play with her cousins. Santa Claus visited the kids to make sure they had started the holidays right. Casey was much better with Santa this year. She did not want to get too close or sit on his lap, but she talked to him, even called him "Grandpa!"
Friday night we had another turkey dinner at Gramma Lois' house. Aunt Donnie joined us too. Saturday, Casey entertained Gramma Lois and Aunt Donnie while we went to the VT/UVA game, VT won!! Sunday, Sweets, Maryann and their daughter, Ellie, came over to play and have lunch, then Aunt Linda and Uncle Marvin stopped by for a visit.
Before heading back to CO, we got to visit Jessica and her new baby, Madelyn, have lunch with Dyani and got to visit Santa. When it was her turn, she ran up to Santa hugged his legs and he picked her up and sat her on his lap and she leaned in the rest of the visit. So cute!
Enjoy the pix.
